When it comes down to it, who can resist chocolately goodness really? I know, I know, there are those who don’t like chocolate or can’t eat it for some reason or other. But in my experience, chocolate can easily be ranked #1 or 2 as everyone’s favorite sweet treat. Whether it’s milk, white, semi-sweet, or dark–like a magnet, chocolate draws you in.
Today we are introducing a chocolate cupcake at HeBrews. Even though I baked a small batch this morning–just a 1/2 dozen–this little cupcake has no shame and has taken center stage in our display case–showing off its creamy chocolate icing. The cupcake recipe is adapted from a coffee cake recipe of my mom’s. We always ate it warm, without icing, with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Oh, such sweet memories! Hopefully, this little guy will measure up to my expectations.
When I started writing this blog at 8:30am we had all 6 cupcakes, but we’ve had a busy morning and now it’s 11:15am and there’s only 2 left! Will they make it til noon? Forty-five minutes and counting…
